Sharing life’s journey in Christian faith, love and service

Welcome to The Second Church in Newton!

At Second Church we honor your questions and seek answers together as we celebrate God’s unconditional love and seek to share it with one another. We join Christians in every age as we seek to discern where God is calling us to serve in our time, and to interpret God’s Word with relevance to our lives as individuals and as a community.  We invite you to join us in worship and receive your presence as a gift that enriches us.

About the United Church of Christ

The United Church of Christ (UCC) is a Protestant Christian denomination with over 5000 member churches in the United States. The UCC does not require uniformity of belief. In fact, members are invited and encouraged to agree, disagree, and wrestle with life’s biggest questions in a spirit of love.

Parking access is from Highland and Chestnut Streets.

Accessibility

There is a parking area by the 60 Highland Street entrance with a short ramp to a door leading immediately to the sanctuary. However, the ramp is steep and the door is heavy. Alternatively:

1. Park in the lot off Chestnut Street and follow the walkway behind the building to the door with the Accessibility symbol and push the pad to open.

2. Turn left at the end of the hall and left again to enter Fellowship Hall. Go to the elevator on the left at the far end of the room.

3. Call the elevator and take it to the top level.

4. Exit the room and turn left to enter the sanctuary.
